My running training

I am going to describe my running training: my goals, places I run, my running friends, how I start my runnings and other stuff.

My goal is to train for a marathon which I want to run next year.2009.09.26 I decided to keep training for it and that's what I do now. I want to run a marathon in 2h45min. It means that my pace has to be 3min54secs/1k.

Places I run. I try to run as much as possible in forests. I live in a little city which has just 70 thousand inhabitants. There are quite a lot of forest in the surroundings. You can run for 10 or 20 kilometers and still be all the time in forest. It's really great. I love it. I am happy that we have so much forests. There are pretty much hills in the forests. So we can do a lot of running up hills.

From my home it's one mile to the first forest. So I always run very slowly that first mile. After this I do some stretching exercises. I always do them because it makes my legs feel much better. And I always meet with my running friends near the forest.

My running friends. Mostly it's 3 of us. My, my trainer and David :) Sometimes more runners join us, but very very rearly.

So my trainer is running for 30 years now. He started when he was a student. He's very experienced runner and always help me :) I think he's the most guilty that I decided to train for a marathon:) His best marathon time is 2h29min. I think it's pretty good. He ran about 40 marathons in his life. He ran 100km 2 times, his best time is 7h21min. Once he ran 1000km in 20 days :) He is 50 now and still running pretty good. I can't beat him now :)

David is 18 years old and he started running 4 years ago. He is know training for shorter distances: 800m - 3k. But he always run in races such like 6k, 10k and so on.

It's always good to have running friends because it makes you not to sleep during running. Your pace is much higher, you are competing in a good way:)

I think it's maybe everything about running training. Keep reading my running blog :)

Happy running :)
