TOP 20 running training tips

There are a lot of things you should think through, but I made a list of 20 running training tips which will make your running training more easy and more efficient.

20 running training tips:

Running tip #1 - Do stretching exercises.

It's much better to do stretching exercises when you ran 5-10 minutes, not before. I always do stretching exercises when I have already ran 10 minutes.

Running tip #2 - Don't run fast in the beginning.

If you do so, you will be tired after 500 meters and after 1 km you just want to stop and no more. Relax and take it easy. Run first 1km in 7 minutes, or 10, it doesn't matter, just let your muscles warm up and you'll see how second km will be more easy :) When I run, I run first 2km very very slowly maybe 15minutes and after that I can run much faster.

Running tip #3 - Find a running friend.

It is much more easy to run with a friend. You can talk, discuss and the running time will pass very fast.

Running tip #4 - Take some music with you.

It's very good if you are running alone or when the weather conditions are really bad.

Running tip #5 - Make a running route before running.

It's very good, because when running, you don't have to think were to run. You just run... :)

Running tip #6 - Listen to your body.

Not the results will say if you are running good, but your body. If you feel bad, stop. Maybe you should run less or you are running too fast.

Running tip #7 - Write a running log.

It's very good to record all your running times, kilometers, weather conditions and your condition after running. If you feel bad, just look to your diary and think it out, maybe you did something wrong? Maybe you ran too much? Maybe you started to run with painful muscles? It helps you to find a solution. The same if you feel good. It will help you to find out why your results are getting better and maybe you shouldn't chane anything and keep going ;)

Running tip #8 - Set goals.

It's very good if you are seeking for something. Maybe you want to run your first 5km, maybe to lose some weight. It's very good to do so because it motivates you :)

Running tip #9 - It's not always so important to run as yesterday or how it's written in your program.

If you feel bad, just run back. If you don't have so much time, run 10 minutes, instead of 20. But it really helps you to feel better and keep training every day.

Running tip #10 - Have comfortable runnning shoes.

It can make a lot of pain if you chose wrong. Take time to have the best shoes for you.

Running tip #11 - Make everyday's running plan.

It's very good to write that today you run first km in 7 min, second in 7, or third in 6. It helps you not to lose running program and goals.

Running tip #12 - Don't eat too much before running.

It's good if you eat 2 or 3 hour before running.

Running tip #13 - Keep your keys in a pocket.

Because if you keep you hand all the time, it makes your arm and even back muscles too tense. It's not good. Running is all about relaxing :)

Running tip #14 - Have a good rest and especially sleep.

If you are running, you need a good rest. If you don't rest enough, you feel very hard when running and you won't get so much satisfaction from it. It would be great if you sleep 8 hours everyday.

Running tip #15 - Have a comfortable apparel.

You have to feel very comfortable when running, if not,it makes a lot of problems - you won't feel any satisfaction.

Running tip #16 - Look to your running technique.

Good running technique really helps you to run more efficiently.

Running tip #17 - You shouldn't use all your power during running.

Don't get home exhausted, running has to give you a joy. When finished, you still should have enough power :)

Running tip #18 - Check if all your body indicators is getting better.

If not, you should run less.

Running tip #19 - Visit your doctor constantly.

I don't want to get you in trouble. It's possible that you don't see some problems in your body.

Running tip #20 - It's very important to run regularly.

It's good if you run 3 times per week every week. But it is not good if you run one week 5 times, another 3, another 1 and so on. It's much better to run regularly.
