How often should I breath when running?
It would be great if you never lose your breath when running. You should be able to keep a conversation. But if talking about numbers, it is great if your breath in every 3-4 steps and breath out every 3-4 steps too.
I am 60 years old. Should I begin running training?
It's really great that older and older people want to begin running training. Of course, you can. But before running training you should visit your doctor and tell him about your plans. Doctor should give you some advices and I am almost 100% sure that he will be happy for you.
How much time does it take to complete first 5k?
It really depends on your physical condition. But if you have never run or sport at all, it can take 12-18 weeks until you are able to run 5 kilometers. But remember, don't rush.
Where is the best place to run for a beginner?
It would be great to run in forest or on meadow. It is very good for you foot, because ground is very soft. Your muscles will be more relaxed and you won't get any pain.
Can I use football or basketball shoes?
It's not good to run with football or basketball shoes because running with them can cause injuries. It's much better to get running shoes. Don't use any other shoes when running, just running ones.
Is it possible to gain some weight when running?
Yes, but just in the beginning. Why? Because your fats are getting into muscles. Muscles weight more than fats. But it's good. Muscles help to burn fats. Later you will really lose more and more weight. But if you don't gain more weight in the beginning - don't worry:) Everything is OK.
